The Devil’s After Me

I saw a clip once. Denzel Washington, standing on a stage, speaking like only he can. Something he said stuck with me:

“When the Devil ignores you, you’re doing something wrong. When the Devil is after you, you’re doing something right.”

It hit a nerve.

For the past five years, it’s felt like the Devil has been around every corner.

I’m not religious. I don’t believe in Heaven or Hell.

But I believe in struggle. And I’ve lived it.

Since turning 25, life has tested me — hard. I’ve fought through setbacks, betrayals, losses, fears. Enemies outside. Enemies inside.

I’ve made mistakes. I carry a few regrets.

But I carry lessons too.

Anything worth building invites resistance. Anything worth doing attracts its own demons.

The trick is simple: Keep going anyway.

Every rep makes you stronger. Every round teaches you something new.

Keep swinging.

Stay motivated,
J
