This Wasn't Meant For You Anyway

This Wasn’t Meant For You Anyway is a bold reinvention — a sharp, kinetic break-up album that pulses with fury, wit, and undeniable charm. Teaming up with Solomonophic (known for work with Remi Wolf and Dominic Fike), Lola leans into a vibrant, unpredictable sound that feels as chaotic and magnetic as falling in and out of love itself.

Across the record, Lola moves effortlessly between raw vulnerability and biting humour, wrapping her stories of romantic misadventure in technicolour production and tightly wound hooks. There’s a sense of recklessness here — but also a fearless honesty that cuts through the noise.

More than just a post-relationship diary, This Wasn’t Meant For You Anyway captures the disorienting rush of youth, heartbreak, and self-discovery. It’s a thrilling, defiant leap forward — and Lola sounds more alive than ever.
