This Sweet Old World stands as the 13th studio album by American singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams, released on 29 September 2017, through Highway 20 Records and Thirty Tigers. A reimagining of her 1992 album Sweet Old World, this project was sparked by the encouragement of her husband and manager, Tom Overby, who co-produced the album with her. The critical reception for the album has been overwhelmingly positive.
According to Metacritic, This Sweet Old World earned “universal acclaim” with a remarkable weighted average score of 86 out of 100 from five critic scores.
