The Lumineers

The Lumineers is the debut studio album by American folk rock band The Lumineers, released in the United States on 3 April 2012. The album features the singles “Ho Hey”, “Stubborn Love”, and “Submarines”. It achieved significant success, peaking at number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. The vinyl LP version of the album was pressed by United Record Pressing in Nashville, Tennessee.

Upon its release, the album debuted at number 45 on the Billboard 200, with initial sales of 10,000 copies. The popularity of “Ho Hey” contributed to its rise, ultimately reaching number 2 on the chart. By April 2016, the album had sold 1.7 million copies in the US. It also debuted and peaked at number 8 on the UK Albums Chart, with 421,177 copies sold in the UK by April 2016.

The album received generally favourable reviews from critics. At Metacritic, it holds an average score of 73, based on multiple reviews. The album was praised for its inventive tracks and its uniquely American sound. The cover art features a childhood photograph of lead singer Wesley Schultz’s mother, Judy, and her mother, Schultz’s grandmother.
