Soul Sold Separately (stylised as $oul $old $eparately) is the fifth studio album by rapper Freddie Gibbs, released on 30 September 2022 through ESGN and Warner Records. This album marks Gibbs’ debut on a major label.

The album operates as a concept piece centred around the fictional $$$ (“Triple-S”) Resort and Casino, a Las Vegas hotel where Gibbs is depicted working in seclusion to complete the record. Gibbs chose a “gambling theme” to symbolise the risks he undertook to advance his music career. The title originates from a line in the track “Education” from Gibbs’ 2019 project Bandana, reflecting on the cost of pursuing success.

The album features a diverse range of producers, creating a blend of sounds inspired by various regional scenes, including East Coast, Midwestern, and Southern influences. Critics noted the production’s opulence, with some reviews describing it as excessively grandiose, while others praised its cohesion and variety. Gibbs’ technical prowess and introspective lyrics received widespread acclaim, highlighting his skill as a “flawless emcee” with a “craftsman-like approach.”
