Dream in Colour

Franc Moody’s debut Dream in Colour is a glitterball of a record—shamelessly funky, dancefloor-ready, and refreshingly free of pretension. With 11 tracks soaked in groove, synth, and slap-bass swagger, the North London collective deliver a tight, playful album that celebrates movement over complexity.

This isn’t a record trying to be deep. It’s music made for bodies, not brooding. Whether it’s the flirtatious strut of “Skin to Skin” or the irresistible bounce of “Charge Me Up,” the songs buzz with DIY disco spirit and slick, polished production. There’s a cheeky charm throughout—think Chromeo by way of Jungle, or Jamiroquai dressed in LED.

Standout “Flesh and Blood” slows things down without losing vibe, wrapping a soulful vocal around a hypnotic bassline that feels like floating in warm light.

Franc Moody aren’t reinventing the wheel, but they are greasing it with funk and spinning it under a mirrorball. Dream in Colour is the rare debut that feels instantly liveable—built to soundtrack house parties, warehouse nights, or just solo living room dance breaks with the lights down low.
