Death Song sees The Black Angels diving deep into shadowy, psychedelic waters, crafting an album that’s brooding, atmospheric, and quietly seething. Produced by Phil Ek, Death Song trades obvious hooks for a thick, heady swirl of reverb and drone, evoking long desert drives and dimly lit backrooms.
